Fiction (Dreams In Digital)

Ah, the interwebz. The largest source of information, and misinformation, in existence. Image boards, memes, search engines, chat rooms; these all can provide a use, be it for humor or research purposes. On site, in particular, takes the cake when it comes to lazy research: Wikipedia. While Wikipedia is moderated and fact-checked, that does not mean that everything therein is accurate. After all, anyone can edit information on the site. For example, when Bill Nye (yes, the Science Guy!) spoke at Bridgewater State College, a friend of mine (who happened to have her laptop handy) decided to edit his page on Wikipedia! She gave a play-by-play of everything he spoke to us about! Sadly, less than an hour after his speech, all of the information we put up about the Science Guy was removed. We were bullshit. None of it was a lie, in fact, it was all primary source material! Anyhow, we decided t say "fuck it" and didn't bother putting it back up.

If you plan on using Wikipedia as a source, check their sources! It's a good idea to fact check anything you're writing about, anyways.
